Synopsis:
Join our immersive Women in the Trades Workshop, a hands-on learning experience designed for DIY enthusiasts, carpentry hobbyists, and professionals eager to enhance their finishing skills. This workshop offers comprehensive instruction on the art and science of interior wood trim, drywall and insulation installation.
Prefer to start your training in a safe and nurturing environment with other women like yourself that want to start learning new skills? Home repair skills can save you hundreds possibly thousands of dollars.
Participants will learn:
- How to insulate your house to decrease your energy bills
- How to cut, fit and finish drywall
- How to accurately measure, cut, and fit various types of trim
- Best practices for using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Selection of appropriate materials, adhesives, and fasteners
- Finishing touches such as sanding, caulking, and painting for a polished look
This workshop combines classroom instruction with guided, hands-on practice. By the end, attendees will have the confidence and skills to tackle Insulation, Drywall and Trim projects with professional results, adding value and beauty to any interior space.
