Joanne Massoud – Heritage Building Pathologist

Biography

“My name is Joanne Massoud, and I’m a building engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a master’s in Engineering. I specialize in the inspection and restoration of building envelopes, combining technical expertise with a deep appreciation for architecture. Throughout my career, I’ve contributed to the preservation and restoration of over 200 buildings in the greater Montreal area, ensuring their structural integrity and timeless beauty. Heritage buildings are especially dear to me, as they embody the rich history and cultural identity of Montreal and Quebec. Driven by this passion, I pursued the “Heritage Building Pathology” course to deepen my understanding of these architectural treasures and refine my restoration techniques. My work is dedicated to safeguarding these historic structures, allowing their stories to endure for generations to come.”
