The VALLEE office itself in Simcoe, Ontario, is a designated heritage structure, being repurposed from a late 19th century public market and firehall into a professional services office.

In his past and current projects, he has been fortunate to have many heritage valued bridges. These varied projects have included repurposing, relocating, restoring and rehabilitating, and replacing bridges with heritage value.

Specialties
A standout project worth mentioning is the full restoration and rehabilitation of the Woodlawn Bridge – a rare two-span pony truss in Haldimand County. The bridge was earmarked for removal and replacement due to a restrictive load limit that did not permit emergency vehicles to access an isolated community. Ryan and his team were able to design a rehabilitation program that strengthened the bridge to increase the load limit – and fully restored and saved the structure from demolition. Ryan was also part of the ARA team assisting in the preparation of the Strategic Conservation Plan for the famous Henley Bridge on the QEW in St. Catharines, Ontario
